Pre-K Program

Our Pre-K program is taught by Mrs. Mussell (Mrs. M). All students must be four years of age on or before September 1st to enroll in the Pre-K program. The morning sessions begin at 8:00 am and dismiss at 11:00 am. The afternoon sessions begin at 12:00 pm and dismiss at 2:55 pm. Children should not arrive more than 15 minutes early, and parents should arrive to pick children up as soon as possible after dismissal time.

Goals and Objectives:

Physical Development – to provide an environment that fosters growth in gross and fine motor development at developmentally age-appropriate levels for each child.

Intellectual Development – to provide an environment that fosters growth in language, math, science, sensorial skills at developmentally age-appropriate levels for each child.

Social/Emotional Development – to provide an opportunity for each child to develop a positive self-image and positive growth in relationships with peers, adults, and the environment.

8:00-8:30                   Quiet play/small group
8:30-8:40                   Flag, calendar, weather
8:40-9:05                   Group (circle time)
9:05-9:30                   Bathroom and exercise
9:30-9:40                   Song and story
9:40-10:30                 Snack/centers
10:30-10:45               Religion
10:45-11:00               Closing
