Sept 25 – 16th Sunday after Pentecost

The Divine Service for the Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost (September 25, 2022)

“Crossing the Chasm” – Luke 16:19-31

Jesus tells the parable of a rich man and poor Lazarus to teach us about the great chasm that divides us from our heavenly Father. Only by God’s grace received by faith do we cross the chasm from hell to heaven. Only through the Word of God and the means of grace does Jesus flood the chasm and float us across on His cross to bring us from death to life. So, listen to Jesus and have life everlasting!
